1. Evaluate the effectiveness and usefulness of the learning experience
I have gone through a wonderful learning experience while conducting the entire project. At the initial stage, I was not confident enough on how to gather proper data and information from various resources. Especially the research issue based on which I have conducted the research work was not very easy for me. The impact of outsourcing in developing the entire process of business was not convenient at the initial stage. While I was intended to collect necessary data and information, I had to face innumerable difficulties from the respondents. People were from different geographical boundaries as well as psychological backgrounds. I was not efficient enough in dealing with every individual person equally. Their culture, belief, values differ from one person to another. Therefore, I had to face immense challenges to interact with those persons. However, after dealing with the research issue I have learnt on how to deal with every single participant who has provided his or her opinion. In order to communicate with those persons effectively, I have decided to develop my communication skill. I have received a training and development session for enhancing my communication skill. Both verbal and non-verbal form of communication has been acquired for dealing with the people of different geographical boundaries (Fishman et al. 2013).
2. How the learning process will be useful
I have taken several days for developing my communication skill and competency level. After developing my way of communication, people from different geographical boundaries have gained enough flexibility in interacting with me regarding providing data and information (Boud and Hager 2012). People who are having language barrier could not interact with me properly at the time of data collection. After the training on non-verbal communication, those specific people did not have to struggle in providing necessary data and information regarding the research issue along with variables. However, this particular research project has taught me on how to complete the entire research work within a stipulated time. At the initial stage, I used to apply positivism philosophy as one of the most effective methodological tools. After using positivism philosophy, I have realized that only this particular philosophy is not sufficient in dealing with every individual project effectively. I should have used post positivism philosophy based on which I would be able to make an acute observation on the research issue along with proper evidence. In this kind of situation, positivism philosophy failed to provide proper evidence to me. Therefore, this particular learning experience was new for me that I have gathered at the time of collecting research data.
3. What happened in the learning process?
I have conducted the research based on the impact of outsourcing on the organizational performance. This particular research issue is not very much convenient for me from the very beginning. In order to collect necessary information regarding this particular topic I had to interact with the employees of organizations (Lumpe et al. 2012). Therefore, I would be able to use this experience on my future career as well. Outsourcing is the business strategy with the help of which business executives can reduce their labor cost. While I would be associated within a business organization as a manager or any other post, this particular experience would help me to understand some of the major positive the impact of outsourcing on the organizational performance. On the other hand, this particular business issue is very much raising as per the current business scenario (Gamrat et al. 2014). In future, I may have to conduct another research on this particular topic. Therefore, this specific information is very much specific and appropriate for conducting another research on the same topic. I would not have to put additional effort while conducting the entire research work in second time.
4. Evaluate what learnt
At the initial stage, my technological skill was not very much advanced. In used to collect necessary data and information from and gathered them manually. As a result, I failed to maintain a chronological order of collecting data. In this kind of situation, I decided to take a training course on technological skill (Roeser et al. 2012). This particular skill helped me immensely in maintaining proper database with the help of which I could maintain the entire data record systematically. This particular research work has made me stronger and skillful in the technological skill and knowledge. While maintaining data collection procedure I have selected to choose primary source of data collection technique. This particular data collection technique would help of immensely in dealing with different respondents. While communicating with the people of different geographical backgrounds and culture I got enough scope in evaluating my mental skill and ability. On the other hand, I got direct feedback from the respondents. These kinds of direct feedback helped me immensely to take an immediate step and to conduct the entire research work within stipulated time. Otherwise, I could not be able to conduct the entire research work within proper time.
5. Explain learning process
In the entire learning process, I have collected several lecture notes based on which I have accomplished the research. The areas of lecture note include the impact of outsourcing on the organizational performance (Trede, Macklin and Bridges 2012). The lecturer while dictating the note intended to use interactive approach with the help of which I got enough scope to resolve my issues. At the same time, I have also learnt both the positive and negative impact of outsource on the organizational performance. At the very first stage, I had to face difficulties in communicating with my lecturer due to language barrier. After developing my communication skill this particular issue has been resolved. The impact of outsourcing on the organizational performance is the primary research issue. This particular project and the entire learning procedure can be helpful in making another research work based on the similar topic.
6. Plan on how this learning will be applied
Developed communication skill would help me to interact with any kind of person belonging to various cultural attitudes and backgrounds (Moon 2013). This particular spontaneous approach would enable in my decision-making skill as well. In addition, throughout the entire research work I have developed my technological skill and competency as well. This particular technological skill would help me to get a better job opportunity in future. In order to be the part of a business organization, a particular person should have proper skill in technology. Therefore, the entire learning process helped me immensely in enhancing my personal as well as professional development.
