The problem statement of this research discusses the issues that the organization is facing while performing their promotional activities in the Australian market. As opined by Andriof et al., (2017), proactiveness of stakeholders is essential for an organization to grow in a market. Telstra, because of some false activities of trespassers, has noticed a decline in the goodwill, which is affecting the profitability rates. The problem statement even discusses the areas where the organization failed while promoting their business in the Australian market. It is essential for an organization to provide what they promise to their targeted customers and Telstra has failed sometimes in doing so, which again affected their brand image, which limited them in their growth and gave scope to competitors in affecting their profitability rates (Pearce, 2018).
The vague decisions that are taken by the managers of the firms are even reflected in this research. Another problem that was understood was the shift in the calling process from telecommunication to internet calling and this has caused a huge change in the business structure. The change in the consumer’s perception towards the calling and internet facilities has changed over the last two years and Telstra failed in managing the crisis, which led to the loss of many potential customers. The other section of the problem is the promotion of their business, which is still limited to digital media and not social media, which limited the organization in reaching the needed customers.
The research aims at understanding the issues that the organization is facing while promoting their business and even while managing its stakeholders.
In order to understand the problems that Telstra is facing while promoting their business and managing their stakeholders, the study has selected the mixed methodology in order to be accomplished. The study is three folded and it involves the following:
The research method that has been used for this research is the Secondary data collection method. As per the statement of Johnston (2017), secondary data collection methods are one of the most used and beneficial methods of data collection. With the help of this data collection method, the research can receive the models that already exist, which can help the research in meeting its objectives much easily. The data collection technique for this research is an interview and by doing so, this research will be receiving the best answers to the questions, which will further help the research in meeting its objectives easily.
