Answer:
North America, during the seventeenth century was considered to one of the most complex British colonies that later emerged as a detached and parted English fragment far away from the core English culture. During the colonial rule in North America the colonizers had multi-dimensional impacts upon the colonies. The essay looks into different genres and impacts of British colonies upon political economic and social sphere of Northern American regions ( Creating the Constitution ushistory.org, 2017).
In terms of social democracy, there was an important aspect in colonial America. The trial and acquittal of John Peter Zenger paved the path for the freedom of press. After the trial news paper became stronger a voice that acted on behalf of the common people who ventured their voice against the unjust practices of the colonizers in colonial America. Social democracy was also notice through the freedom of religion that was directed by roger Williams in colonial America (Tindall & Shi, 2016).
On the other hand, in terms of political democracy, there existed elected legislatures that were driven through many of the democratic processes. This was evident through Mayflower Compact that showed that the Government came from people.
In terms of economic democracy it can be stated that the local farmers were allowed to perform trade with England, however with little profit margin.
So far the undemocratic characteristics are considered, in social system the most significant and ruthless practice was slavery under the British rule. The slaves were not considered to be human. The servitude was practiced even I political level where there was a high practice to marginalize the political parties that included local figures. One of the important economic aspect that witnessed undemocratic nature in the British colony, was the lack of acceptance of the local traders who actually contributed to the market; however through English dealers.
