Human resources in the organization are influenced to change by external factors. The external environment keep on changing that have impact on employees perceptions and attitudes in workplaces. When human resource changes their perceptions and attitudes, they start to lose efficiency in their performance. The current globalization and civilization has largely and continuously change human resource thinking and behavior in the workplace. Therefore there is a need to continuously update existing human resource policies to accommodate external changes that take place in today’s society. Human resource management policies have changed in the recent decade necessitating updates to efficiency in the organizations. These human resource policies are updated to change how the organizations recruit, compensate, promotes, does training and selects human resource in the organizations.
The following are aspects in the human resource policies that should be updated; first, is adopting diversity and equity when hiring employees in the organization. Second, is devolving the human resource responsibilities to the line mangers of the organization. Third, is supporting innovation through human resource in the organization. Fourth, factoring the community culture in the organization and lastly incorporating globalization of human resource in the business.
Updating the human resource policy is important to generally maintaining efficiency in the organization. First, the policy should be updated to adopt diversity and equality so that the organization is in line with the current developments in equality and diversity of human race laws. Second, devolving of responsibilities to line managers is meant to increase closer working relationships of the organization employees and management. Third, human resource form organizations and it good to appreciate them in order to induce creativity that will lead to innovation. Lastly, the business does not exist on its own and therefore it has to accommodate it external environment for it success. We curry live in a global village hence what happens in one corner gradually affects the other corner.
Updating the human resource policy an important activity to continued efficiency of employees performance. The updated policy will grant equality to all employees in the organization decreasing all forms of discrimination that demoralize employees. Second, updated HR policies will help understanding of the region culture and will reduce outside pressure. Lastly, the updates will support new innovations in the organization enhancing success of the business. In addition, the updates will increase supervision thereby increasing efficiency in the organization.
From the module, I have learnt that there is a need to continuously review and update the human resource policies. The management of human resource in an organization change as the society change. Therefore it important to keep the organization’s HR policies up to date with the external environment in order to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in the organization by maintain a good perception and right attitudes in the workplace. In addition, continuous research is an important aspect in human resource management in order to ensure timely and appropriate updates are made to HR policies
