Cause for reflection
My poor performance at the workplace compelled me to conduct the self-reflection. My weaknesses posed as a challenge in the path of professional development. I lacked self-confidence, making me a victim of mocking and taunts from the colleagues and managers. This was becoming a matter of self-respect for me, which I was determined to restore. This was in terms of escaping from depression, which has engulfed me, adversely affecting my performance.
I can also mention the instance of decision-making process, where I faced several issues. This delayed the completion of the projects, turning the relationship with the clients into a hostile one. As a result of this, the managers rebuked upon me, which demotivated me. One of the most shameful instances was when I was told to give presentations. I stammered a lot, which created a negative impression on the foreign clients. Even the managers were disappointed with my performance. This pushed Hyatt Regency into utter loss, depriving the hotel of prospective projects for expansion.
These experiences compelled me to conduct reflection on my performance and work towards improvements. At the initial stage, I reflected upon my approach towards the allocated duties and responsibilities. With the help of Gallup report, I found that I lacked adequate self-confidence. As it was a matter of self-respect for me, I thought of attending personality development courses. This would alter my personality, enhancing my adjustability skills in the workplace.
The time of giving presentation was terrible. I became nervous and encountered blackouts. I also felt bad, as it created negative image about me in the minds of the clients. As the potential projects were delayed, I felt reflection of my performance was needed. Mostly, it was important for taking Hyatt Regency into an improved stage. Along with this, reflection was also needed for upgrading my preconceived skills, expertise and knowledge. As a matter of specification, reflection towards the goals indicates my awareness towards progressing on the path of leadership.

The goal of undertaking challenging and enduring tasks would prepare me for the harsh realities, with which I would gain familiarity. Along with this, these tasks would broaden my perspectives, which would be assistance in terms of taking rapid decisions. Setting time limits for the tasks and the decisions, would bring noticeable improvements in my performance. Logical reasoning would mitigate irrelevant aspects within the duties, which I have been allotted. Evaluation of the attached reasons and justifications would enable me to assess the effectiveness of undertaken decisions. This type of approach would be fruitful for me in terms of taking prospective decisions for the betterment of Hyatt Regency hotel.
Consulting the managers regarding the doubts in the allocated tasks would indicate my eagerness towards altering my performance. This eagerness would be crucial in terms of projecting me as an efficient employee. I think evaluation is needed for bringing into the forefront the drawbacks within my performance. Maintaining consistency in the execution of evaluation would improve my perceptions towards my performance. Conducting personality tests at regular intervals would enhance my awareness towards self-assessment. Setting goals based on the scores of the personality tests would be appropriate in terms of developing relevancy, authenticity and reliability in my performance.
