Nando’s is the industry partner face in this research paper.
Nando’s is an Australian based fast food company, which is situated in Nedland, Northbridge. The mission of the organization is to achieve maximum profit margin in the fast food sector along with the maintenance of sustainability in the environment. The organization has been successfully providing mouth-watering food products to the society for which it has been praised by various eminent personalities. The firm has been successfully employing 67 employees in its store. It has been achieving a financial turnover of 212 billion approximately.
I have chosen the case study of Nedlands Nando in order to conduct a research study on the cleanliness issues prevailing within the operational functions of the firm.
Overarching problem
The problem regarding the environmental management issues associated with Nedlands Nando is that, recently the firm has been going through certain issues prevailing within the firm. The firm has been charged fined an amount of $20,000 against the food act convictions 2017 for breaching related to premises and equipment cleanliness. There has been open bags of rubbish found in the kitchen, unclean equipments used for preparing the food products and stale food products being used for further cooking the meals of the consumers.
This research project aims at analysing the root activities that result in the cleanliness issues prevailing within the fast food centre of Nedlands Nando’s in australia.
This problem is quite critical in nature. It would affect the brand name of the company and would lead to a drastic effect on the business made by the firm. Hence, in order to overcome such situations, thorough maintenance plan is needed.
Overarching research aim
The aim of this research is as follows:
- Attain knowledge regarding the cleanliness issues of Nedlands Nando’s restaurant.
Find the root causes regarding the cleanliness issues of the firm.
Data needs
The research would be based on a qualitative data collection method. In order to attain information regarding the prevalent system of the, face to face interviews would be conducted by the mangers of the firm. Complete information regarding the grounds on which fined was charged by the restaurant should be taken. cleanliness policies and habits of the workers must be gained by providing them with a questionnaire. This would help in attaining the proper information regarding the practice of the firm. The workers would provide us with the complete knowledge regarding the prevailing system and its unethical practices.
