Q1. What will be the areas of concern when auditing the scope, schedule and cost of the troubled project?
Ans. The main area of concern should be discovering and documenting the requirements of the project. By requirement it means the characteristics that are to be delivered. All the conditions of the building needs to be made proper for further use due to the fact that the building was abandoned and due to this fact the total living conditions have become unhealthy. The three factors of success that are the process, power and contingency are to be included in the scope (Kerzner, 2013). Proper schedule is to be made for the purpose of arranging the building in order to make it usable by the companies who want to use it for their business purpose. Monitoring of the safety aspects needs to be done so as to look into the safety of the peoples who will be there in the building. Proper cost management also needs to be considered so as to provide a proper estimate and to allocate the cost according to the need. Cost management (Burke, 2013) will also help in providing the upcoming expenses which will initially help in reducing the chances of getting over the budget. It also should be made sure that the predicted cost is approved before the beginning of the project.
Q2. What specific factors would signal the project is beyond recovery?
Ans. The construction of the building is not done in a proper way that is the buildings construction is not straight but it is slight slanted. Which initially acts as the most important factor that signals that the project is beyond recovery.
