Information and Communication Technology
The major aim of this report is to portray the value and usage of Information and Communication Technology in the Business Operation of the educational or training institutions. Hence, this report also incorporates ACM digital library, IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL) and Computers and Applied Science based on three journals to illustrate the aim of this report.
Usage and value of information and communication technology in Business Operation of a Training Institution
ICT has huge usage and significance on the business operations of the education industry. Information and Communication Technology permeates the business environment, it underpins the success of the contemporary corporations as well as it gives governments with an effective infrastructure. Thus, ICT adds at the same time value towards the learning processes and in the management and organization of learning institutions (Wastiau et al., 2013). Hence, internet has become the driving force for much innovation and development in the education sectors. The technological developments have led to the transformational educational systems by implementing ICT competencies enabling expert work. ICT has simply made the learning procedure very easy and interesting to the learners which ultimately influence the business operations of the educational institutions.
In regards to the influence of ICT on the business operations of the educational institutions, ACM digital library is referred to the networking platform, discovery and research which contains the full text collection, hosted and curated full-text publications, the ACM guide to computing literature as well as a richly interlinked set of connections among specialized communities, institutions, works and authors. According to Ábrahám et al., (2017), ACM digital library is such a ICT tool that can make the critical content easily accessible and discoverable.
As an ICT tool, IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL) is very much ideal for the government agencies, universities, training institutions and corporations. The most value-driven as well as comprehensive collection is available through the IEEE Xplore. On the other hand, IEL contains almost one-third of the current literature of the world in the Computer Science, Communications and electrical engineering featuring content from IEEE and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). According to Li et al., (2017), IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL) can play a huge role in influencing the business operations of the educational institutions.
According to Bao and Wang, (2017), in education, Computers and Applied Science can provide the abstracts, indexing as well as full text for the professional publications, academic journals as well as the other reference sources from a diverse collection. Computers and Applied Science is such an area of education that provides the enriched knowledge about the virtual cloud, labeled von Neumann Architecture for Software Defined Cloud, Evolution of Cloud Operating System, Intelligent software knowledge graph and development environment. Thus, according to Bao and Wang, (2017), this particular area of study can significantly influence the business operations of the educational institutions.
This report has successfully evaluated the value and usage of ICT in the business operations on a regular basis of training or educational institutions based on the demonstrated ICT educational platforms in the selected journals.
