The mediator analysed the differences faced by both parties and reconciled them. The mediator understood and analysed the difference between the two parties and then suggested they speak to each other accordingly in her presence (Bollen & Euwema, 2013). The mediator did understand the causes, interests and yet she appeared to be neutral, in order that the conflict is resolved. The mediator did maintain fairness as she equally heard from both points of view. The mediator addresses the disputant’s interests by counseling them. She did allow the disputants to interact however she provided ways to work out their differences. It helped clarify the differences amongst the parties. The mediator could have imposed her own mediation process by suggesting technique. This could have built trusts by allowing disputants adhere to the system (Bennett, 2013). Yes, she asked each one to reply in turns. No, she did miss the personal differences amongst disputants. It could have helped resolve differences in a better manner. The mediation model used was conflict resolution (Doherty & Guyler, 2008). Conflict resolution technique was used to resolve the matter.
