Potential for the expansion of ERP system for ABC Pvt. Ltd
Further development of the system
The ERP system determined for ABC Pvt. Ltd has to be enhanced to meet requirements of the organization as they intend to open branches countrywide. The system can be produced as distributed by migrating to cloud based ERP as it will provide facility of planning as well as customization for implementing the system. The cloud based ERP will eventually result into smaller investment in terms of time as well as cost and faster implementation (Leyh & Sander, 2015). The system can be expanded as per requirement of the organization with the help of features offered by cloud ERP. For instance if there is increase in employees resulting into unlimited number of users, cloud ERP will provide platform to scale the ERP package rather than purchasing of new hardware or installing new software.
Benefit of the system for additional departments
The ERP system for ABC Pvt. Ltd will be able to meet the requirements of additional departments in the organization as ERP offers facility of synchronized reporting as well as automation. The ERP system helps to generate reports from one system rather than maintaining separate databases or spreadsheets (Zach, Munkvold & Olsen, 2014). For instance, the order management department will be able to process orders more quickly and efficiently as the sales orders will flow automatically into the system and there will be no requirement for manual handling of sales. Thus, the finance department will be able to maintain the financial records for sales in an orderly manner which would eventually help in automatic generation of reports.
