The disaster recovery project will include the set of activities that will allow the employees to carry on with their regular business operations and processes.

  • Ability to the employees to have their workstations ready with the computer system, network, and other peripherals connected.
  • Ability to extract the data and information sets from the database repositories comprising of the backed up data.
  • Ability to ensure that the security measures are installed in the organization for authentication and access control.
  • Ability to test the integration of the devices and databases along with the networking channels.
  • Ability to make changes in the network architecture.
  • Project Proposal: The document will include an overview of the project and its associated details, such as risks, budget, timeline, etc.
  • Project Plan: The document shall comprise of the details of the project planning activities, such as schedule, costs, risks, communication, stakeholders, quality, etc. (Lai, 2014).
  • Integration Report: The document shall include the details of the newly installed system integrated with the cloud database, network peripherals, and other technical tools and applications.
  • Test Report: The deliverable shall include the results of the testing processes and activities.
  • Closure Report: The project completion report shall be provided as the final deliverable.

The disaster recovery project in the business firm will be carried out and implemented using a phased approach. There will be step by step activities conducted to implement the plans made in the analysis and planning phase of the project. The installation of the equipment and systems will be done from one workstation to the other. Also, the next project activity will be started only when the one preceding is completed successfully. There will also be use of agile methodology for project management to make sure that the implementation process is flexible and scalable in nature (Juricek, 2014).

The employees and stakeholders of the business firm will be kept involved during the project and their feedback will also be collected at regular intervals. This will ensure that the project results and objectives are achieved.
