The report mainly focuses on a detailed leadership development plan. A leader is someone who leads the entire team. The leader can also be called as the captain of the ship. In this report, an analysis of the social responsibilities of a leader has been discussed. The opportunities of and threats of the capacity of a leader is also included in this report.
The main aim and function of this analysis is to bring an effective change in leadership over the upcoming ages. By studying the Public Health Leadership Competency Framework, the major role of a leader could be understood well. Moreover, the report helps in understanding an effective plan of leadership plan by understanding the opportunities and threats of the same.
An effective leadership plan has been discussed in this piece of study for the sake of developing the functions and role of a leader in the next three to four years. This will be effective in the upcoming years.
Current Srenghts as a Leader
A leader is the guide of a team. He is also mentioned as the captain of a ship. The strengths of a leader are to determine the powers of his team members. The biggest strength of a leader is to be confident, strong and the opportunity to gain experience by guiding his team (Czabanowska et al., 2013). The leader must be dynamic and he must have the capacity to understand the potentiality of his team members and their weaknesses as well. He must take measures to improve them.
Current Weaknesses of a Leader
The greatest weakness of a leader is when he grows adamant and rude with his team. It is also negative if a leader makes himself too much accessible to his team members. He must be answerable only for the necessary quarries and not for the unnecessary ones. Currently the biggest weaknesses the leaders are facing are the stagnancy. The stagnant performance of a leader can affect his team.
Leader as a Social Change
Change is extremely necessary because it is the only constant. A change, which is for the good of everyone, is necessary. However, destructive change is not a desirable one. A leader can be good social agent. To bring a good social change in the team and organization a leader must always motivate his team. He must come up with innovative ideas and challenging personality to develop his team and bring a social change. Team development is a process of social change. Development of an individual in a team adds up to the quality in a society (Mah’d Alloubani, Almatari, & Almukhtar, 2014).
According to the Public Health Leadership Competency Framework there is a crisis in the leadership plan in the all the health care sectors in today`s world. The government has taken some initiatives to improve the public health sectors. There is a lack of leadership in this sector in today`s world. It includes the application of strategies to achieve the worldwide health related goals. It identifies the stakeholders of the public health sectors and includes negotiation with them (World Health Organization, 2012).
A leader must a clear vision and transform the same in his team. He must have the capacity to achieve his missions and goals. He must be the effective change agent of his team. Change is extremely necessary to survive. A leader must take the initiative to bring a good change (García-Morales, Jiménez-Barrionuevo, & Gutiérrez-Gutiérrez, 2012).
The different health care organizations must have the same mission, which will aim at improving the health situations. It must have an ethical approach and the organizations must have a complimentary approach.
Team Building Competencies
It consists of development of team-oriented structures. It includes the entire development plan in a team and includes the recognition policies. It facilitates the development of the risk taking behaviors. In total, it consists of all kinds of team development programs.
A leader`s personality should always be of extrovert and motivational. He should be optimistic and enthusiastic about his goals and aims. His good personality should encourage his team to achieve a good position in future (Popescu, & Predescu, 2016).
In any medical organizations, there can always be a crisis. A leader must have the ability to tackle the crisis and relieve the team members from the same. There can the spread of acute disease any other problems in the infrastructure of the organizations, it is the sole duty of the leader to bring the entire team out of the situation.
An Effective Leadershio Plan
In the upcoming years, an effective leadership plan can be planned. The health organizations need to be improved and an effective training needs to be provided to the members so that the systems can be improved and a better service can be offered which will result in a better future condition (Rowitz, 2013).
From the above study, this can be concluded that the leader is an agent of change and good change is always desirable in any system. The threats should be reduced and the opportunities of a leader should be increased. The competencies should be concentrated on should be taken into account and should be focused on. If the leadership plan can be applied, the systems can be improved and the conditions will be better.
