Vision and opportunity
My plan after graduating from Sharjah University is to undertake master in business administration (MBA). Owing to my strong background in accounting, taking MBA will position me to work in one of the leading banks, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. In addition, I will also enroll in part-time classes to study a professional course, Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Besides, taking advanced diploma in public relations will harness my relational skills as I position myself to becoming a bank manager
I have a purpose of impacting the society, particularly my peers. I would like to show them that with proper planning, anything is possible. I value dedication, hard work, and leadership. Therefore, I wish to be a role model to my peers. I can have an impact by implementing my goals so that friends and family can see the internal drive. So far, I have love accounting and that is why am putting all the strategies in place to advance my professionalism. I derive my passion from my uncle Ahmed who is an accomplished accountant, with several awards in his name. I would like to follow his footsteps in addition to showing my peers that with focus, nothing is impossible.
Owing to the growing economy, many banks are expanding their services to other markets. Therefore, advancing my career will position me to become one of the branch managers of the new outlets. Moreover, many youths are losing hope in hard work, therefore, I would like to show that dedication is the key to achieving greatness. Again, a combination of MBA and CPA is on demand right now and thus am in the right direction of grabbing those career opportunities.
Marketing and implementation strategy
I am a creative thinker who plans every activity before executing them and produces superior results through taking calculated risks and impeccable leadership abilities. While at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, I will lead a team that will spearhead the opening of ten branches in the next five years in the banking industry to create more employment to the youths to become a market leader in the banking industry.
As a branch manager at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, I will make sure that I recruit more customers, sell more loan products which will eventually see the brank grow tremendously. The tremendous growth will enable the bank to engage the society in corporate social responsibility by sponsoring less fortunate students to access quality education.
Most students from UAE fear taking risks and work hard to achieve their goals. In that regard, I am currently pursuing enrolling in part-time classes of CPA which will give me an edge above the rest upon graduation. In a broader perspective, I have a career plan where I want to work. As such, I know my potential employer and doing everything possible to realize that dream, unlike others who do not have a clear path to their careers.
Risks and mitigation
Key milestones and checkpoints involve graduating with top honors from Sharjah University and enrolling for CPA classes before graduation. Measuring such milestones will be pegged on getting first class honors or second class honors, upper division and passing CPA, section one.
In this career pursuit, time, and financial resources may affect my learning but I am currently applying for sponsorship who will help pay my fees adequately. Again, I intend to continue with CPA and clear part two before embarking on my duty at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. That move will help ease risks as far as balancing between classes and working hours. The third strategy will involve attending classes on weekends and during leave to void interfering with working hours.
Ethics
Banking industry demands a lot of ethics from employees. I intend to operate under accounting regulations and advocate for accountability and transparency all the time. As an upcoming banker, I will choose my uncle to mentor me. He has achieved a lot in his career of 20 years and I am inspired to do even more. Another person to mentor me is my mother, she is candid, humble, and sober while handling tough situations. I look up to her in difficult times. Lastly, I envy, George V. Nereaparambil, a proprietor of Burj Khalifa, he demonstrates that everything is possible for those who believe. Overall, I can summarize my six-word memoir as "nothing can beat a creative mind."
