Routing protocols are used in distribution of information that is used to find the best routes for data to flow within any given network. Qos routing is supported by selection of routes that have additional information to be distributed from one region to another . Currently, routing protocols do not support Qos routing. This makes the network very slow and inefficient. Qos routing are used to modify the network applications and evaluate the effect of network applications in network efficiency this increases the speed of flow data in the network.
Aims of the project
The following are some of the objectives for implementation of this project.
The aim of this project is to promote multicasting in the network. This is an effective way for communication between multiple hosts in the network. This routing protocol outperforms basic broadcast strategy by sharing resources that are within the common link in the network. Mostly applied in wireless network which suffers from transfer speed shortage and high bit error.
The operation of Qos can be done in many network layers. This begins at the physical layer to the application layer since each layer has different functions in Qos. The physical layers take care of the transmission quality, the link layer handles the bit error rate while other layers like network layer deals with the exchange of transmission quality . This makes this kind of network technology to be used suitable for many business organizations. This is because Qos routing focuses on correcting errors during the transmission of data in the network. Many business organization will require this kind of routing technology to improve their communication process. Since the technology allows multicasting in many networks and business organization have many employees, it will increase the process of communication among individuals.
The technology to be implemented will increase the speed of communication among the users. Qos has a technology that controls delay jitter and bandwidth in routers. Qos gives the best ever routing algorithms that identify parts that are capable to satisfy maximum flow within the network.
Organizations using Qos routing may sometimes suffer from low-network speed due to congestion of devices in the networking . This means that some of the data being transferred within the network will not be able to reach the required destination. At such times the network is unusable.
The real expectation of implementation of Qos routing protocol is to improve the speed of communication in routers. This technology corrects the errors that are encountered during data transfer process.
Initial Cost Estimates
The tools that are required during implementation of this technology are a minimum of five routers that will be connected through MPLs connection. The estimated cost of implementation will be $500.
