Developing community strengths
Nursing has always remained as the model of care but if I look beyond the profession of the nursing care, they could engage in developing community strengths. The community strengths include the wholeness in integration and coordination that the nurses can serve to the community as a whole (Olds et al 2013). I think the nurses were engaged in the community volunteering work. I can give idea on the important ways they had induced the community development. One such way was the forming of a camp in the developing countries like Ghana where the nurses did free monitoring of the person health issues by observing their temperature, blood pressure. The volunteer work also included the checking of administered drugs and injections. They had also contributed help to all the malnutrition people out there. The nurses had also well conducted the medical coordinations. Thus I can explain that the nurses with their power to develop community strengths by restoring the health conditions and even morality among the people can make a huge difference.
I think that the above-mentioned task has developed a huge strength in community. Working as a team with new tasks made us learn on the moralities like hope, love, fairness, kindness, leadership, spirituality, self regulation (Baldwin, Black and Hammond 2014).
Survey of the character strengths
Now I can well explain the characters that were maintained while doing such tasks for the community. It has developed spirituality, showing that people should come forward and help other people in times of crisis. It conducted the spreading of message of coherent joy that one can get by comforting the people who people in distress conditions (Nucci, Krettenauer and Narváez 2014). It developed a hope for the people who have lost it in suffering. The Ghana people especially the children were affected by malnutrition due to lack of food. I can explain of the character creativity that was satisfied with the working as team and indulging to develop unique ways to help the people easily (Guo, Zhang and Zhang 2015). From the personal point of view it has developed the skill of judgment and leadership that had helped them think productive ways. Hope was the main thing that was given to the community. The other strengths that were executed were the fairness, love which are the main things that create peace and harmony in the community.
