1. I took a personal risk in my life when I left my job as marketing manager of Lowes Manhattan Pty Limited to start my own business. I always had a dream to work as an entrepreneur however there were risks involved and hence at the initial stage I was a bit reluctant to pursue my dream. Mt family told me that starting one’s own business involved a lot of risks and hence I had initially decided to stay away from that venture. I started my own NGO because I had always felt that there were many unprivileged people in the world and they should be attended to in order to bring about improvement in the quality of life of the people. I had always felt that the NGO can fill the gap which was left by private along with public sector. I opened an NGO that took in all the orphans and provided them with proper education. The orphans are neglected in our society and I had always harboured a dream that I would do something to help them in getting a proper footing in the society. I recruited people who had abilities but were stricken by poverty as members of the organization that could help both in their development along with that of development of society.

2. The leadership program can enable an individual in infusing new thoughts along with skills that can help in the acceleration of one’s career. The leadership and governance program will enable me in challenging assignments that has strategic business impact. It will enable me in learning about different aspects in relation to senior leadership and it can teach me about global experiences. It will help me in building of strong global network. This program can enable individuals in realizing the full potential. It can provide an individual with the mentoring opportunity and this is combined with the leadership interaction for the complete development of an individual. The leadership and governance program will come to be of use in my position as entrepreneur of my company. In the event of the popularity of my website, there will be other employees working under me as I single-handedly will not be able to handle everything. I will be burdened with the responsibility to manage other people and solve their problems. My leadership and governance program will help me in the perfect managing of my career and it will come to be of great help in my career progression. It will help me in having policies in the company that can lead to employee empowerment and help them in increasing their performance.
