Introduction
An organization is a type of process that connects different activities to achieve goal of any organization, and objectives. To achieve organizational goal role of management is very important which provide you a platform to perform their job effectively. The main role of management is that it guides and directs any organization. Organization In this report I will explain you nature of an organization, the role of management, and which type of challenges faced in any organization (Ahrne & Brunsson, 2011).
The nature of organization
If you are a manager of any organization than nature of the organization is the main part and it provides a platform to handle any organization. Suppose I am a manager of any organization than I will represent my organization in following manners-
- Divide main work into small groups
- Allocation of job according to person suitability
- Finding of position at different type of levels
- Assigning duties to employees with requisite competence
Nature of any organization can be defined in two ways such as organization as a process and as a structure. When we consider any organization as a process than it becomes part of every manager. When we consider the organization a structure that it is a communication network of authority and relationships responsibility (Ahrne & Brunsson, 2011). According to Peter F Drucker, there are three types of analysis are used in an organization-
- Relation analysis
- Activities analysis
- Decision analysis
The role of management
For any organization role of management is very important to handle any problem, achieve organizational goal and objectives (Tripathi & Reddy, 2008). If you are an employee of any company then you know how a manager of organization handle any situation, there are following roles of management in an organization-
Developing objectives and strategies
Suppose I am an employee of any company than my manager manages all kind of situation and he develops organization goal and objectives. He makes complete strategies to achieve goal and focus of objective of the company (Devaraju & Hoh, 2008).
Developing employees
A Manager also provides coaching and training to develop employees and also provide a platform to improve your knowledge. Suppose I am an employee of any company than my manager provides me training and explain how our organization work.
Create and maintain structure
Creating and maintain structure are the main part of any organization to increase efficiency and production. This includes creativity and structure for business. My manager make a complete structure to achieve objective and he also creates new things that are very helpful for our organization. A business structure avoids redundancy, and increase overall communication.
Communicate vision
If you are an employee of any company than your manager develops visions and communicate with you. It also helps you and provides a right direction in which you can achieve your and company goal.
Challenges face by manager
There are following challenges faced by a manager-
- Achieving goal of your organization
- Bringing out best employees in your organization
- Dealing with new employees
- Hiring right people for your company
- Continuous improvement
- Handle any critical situation
- Improve quality and productivity
- Manage Ethics and corporate social responsibility (Griffin, 2008).
Motivation
Motivation is a level of effort towards your goal and objective. In any organization manager and senior employees help new employees and motivate them. Motivated employees increase productivity and quality of any organization. If I am a manager of any company then I will motivate new employee and provide a platform to improve your skills. A manager can motivate employees by creating an environment in which they can survive.
Influence and power
Your ability to influence your company through your quality, management of any organization varies and is based on the size of an organization and your position in that organization. An effective manager of any organization influence business in a general way. Manager of any organization have the power to punish and reject any employee but if he uses this power in the right way that he can achieve an objective of the organization. Policies are defined as guidelines that what an organization wants to achieve and how it perform any task. There are two types of policies used in an organization such as government policies and operational policies (Franzoni & Sauermann 2014).
Communication, Conflict and negotiation
Communication is an important part of any organization; it provides a platform to communicate with employees. For example, if you are an employee of any company than a manager and senior employees communicate with you and solve your problem. Conflict occurs whenever any deviation exists in a particular situation. The main reason for conflict in any organization is poor communication between employees, and failure to respond to need of employees. If your manager and senior employees communicate with you than it is a great part to survive in any organization and it also reduce conflict. Negotiation is a process for two companies or parties to find a proper solution to a conflict. It is a type of process in which two or more companies exchange services to avoid conflict problem (Laurie, 2007).
Conclusion
An organization is a type of process that provides a platform to improve your skills, develop your knowledge, and share your experience with another person. In this report, we have discussed nature of an organization, the role of management, and challenges faced by a manager. So main conclusion of this report is that role of a manager is very important to achieve organizational goal and objectives.
