1.1 Project Description and BACKGROUND (2 marks)

The paper mainly focuses on the School of Engineering and Technology indigenous committee that mainly aims to organize indigenous cultural awareness training program in order to reflect the importance of indigenous history, culture, languages as well as protocols. This project is mainly undertaken by the university in order to promote the training program so that both the staffs as well as students can properly understand local Aboriginal and Torres Strait history, culture as well as languages. In order to undertake the training program, the organization generally includes both face to face as well as online training components.

Quantitative technique: This technique is used in order to examine that whether the stakeholders are capable of performing well within a specified time period.

QUESTION:State whether it is appropriate to have a single key stakeholder representing the Traditional Owners of the land on which Central Queensland Campuses are located. Provide an explanation for your response.

No, it is identified that it is not suitable to have a single stakeholders in order to present the traditional land because it is not possible for a single individual to represent various campuses of the university at a single time. In order to represent it is very much necessary to determine various conditions that are mainly related with the campus. In addition to this, it is analyzed that the time that is used for analyzing data on each of the university campus is quite less and thus it can be ensured that thee data as well as information which are collected may be inaccurate. Thus it is quite preferable to have one key stakeholder for each of the university campus.

The suggestion of utilizing previously developed cultural awareness training as an appropriate method for requirement gathering is not considered appropriate because the training programs content widely differ from each other. In order to use it, numerous changes are required to be done within the program which is not possible.

In order to track as well as trace requirements throughout the project life cycle, it is quite necessary to use central resource log database within the project that is generally cloud based. It is identified that the system will be quite easy to use. In order to use it, the site manager needs to enter within the server once the entire resources are utilized for updating central resource log.

Lesson 1

The first lesson involved an ‘off-the-shelf’ online training program which failed to properly interface with the universities learning system.

Proper information system needs to be installed within the system with proper speed of internet connection.

Lesson 2:

The second lesson involved the use of a generic cross cultural training package which failed to properly address the nuances which exists between different indigenous groups located in various geographical areas.

The people from different indigenous group must be invited to know more about the culture as well as tradition of ingenious people.
