Being a Communication Manager of the Commonwealth Bank I am sending the invitation to all my clients and staffs for attending the end-year dinner party.  The end year dinner party will be held on 15 December 2018 in the Westin Hotel at Martin Place, Sydney from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. 

The party will be arranged as an annual dinner party on the behalf of the bank success in the previous year. Commonwealth Bank organizing an end year dinner event for the success of the company in the previous year. The event is arranged by the company head and the invitation is done by the Communication Manager. The communication manager mainly invites the staffs, clients as well as the special guest like politicians and celebrities for joining the event which will hold on 15 December 2018 in the Westin Hotel at Martin Place, Sydney from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The celebrities and the politicians are requested to give a short speech that motivated the staffs of this bank to do better work in the coming days. In this dinner event, functions will be held for the entertainment purposes and three-course dinner will be served

On arranging such an event the growth of the bank in the coming days will increases and along with this small speech of politicians and celebrities also motivated the staffs and clients of the bank.  The party also the motivation will help the staffs and the clients to do work better in the coming days for the bank. Actually, the main aim of the bank is to make a good relationship with the politicians and the celebrities so that they get help from them in future.

Hence it is concluded that the motive of our bank to arrange the end-year dinner party will be successful and it gives a good impression to the staffs as well the politicians and celebrities too. Along with the short speech of politician and celebrities also motivated the staffs and clients to do better work in the future days.

On the basis of Assessment 2, I have gained a proper knowledge about the business communication skills and this helps me to improve my communication behavior towards a person in the workplace in the future. After submitting my project a feedback and Turnitin report have been reported by the lectures which show that I have to improve in the small section. Though the Turnitin report is quite good some similarity is present in the report and for this, I have improved my writing skills which help to reduce this issues in the coming days (Gimenez, 2015). For reducing this similarity in the text I will paraphrase the sentence so that the plagiarism will decrease and hence the results of the Turnitin report will be better in the previous days. Moreover, I should read many textbooks and literature for developing my skill as well as it helps me to reduce plagiarism in the future.

Structure of the report

This assessment will help me to increase my knowledge on the business communication skills and I have understood the particular roles of communication behavior that increases the growth of the business as well as it ruined the business too (Kang’ethe, and Muhuro, 2014). By learning many textbooks and literature I have seen that lack of proper communication can create a major issue for the business. According to the literature review, I have noticed that absence of proper communication occurs mainly in case of international business (Dulek, and Campbell, 2015). This mainly occurs due to the presence of different varieties of people in the same firm (Mai, and Hoffmann, 2014). Mainly the lower class of worker hesitate to talk with the members of an upper class and this raises an issue between the leader and the team member and for this sometimes the company suffers a huge loss. Due to this communication gap, the company suffers many problems in the market (Rucker, Tormala, Petty, and Briñol, 2014). Not only the international company suffers problem but also the local company also faces this problem due to communication gap. After gaining a knowledge about the communication barrier I have seen that the international company mainly faces this type of communication challenges in the global market. The main issue is the cross-cultural management as this occurs due to the different culture of the people.

Communication is a process by which one person can understand the view of the other person but due to lack of proper communication causes a huge problem not only to the employees as well as the employee (Trad, and Kalpi?, 2014). On studying the literature I have acquired that when an international company launches their business in the other country apart from their home country the main factor that causes a problem to them is the communication barrier (Eisenberg, Johnson, and Pieterson, 2015). It is known that different country has their particular ascent as well as they have the different language too (Wang, Pauleen, and Zhang, 2016). Hence it causes a problem to the company to communicate with the employee and also to understand their language properly. At last the company, as well as the workers both, suffer due to such issues. According to me if a person tries to understand the language of the other person then such issues can be diminished in the coming days and for this, the company should hire a professional who can understand the ascent of both the country members. Along with this, I have learned that modern business communication skills with the help of digital media can help to decrease such issues in the organization.


For this, in the present day, the international, as well as the local organization, uses new communication strategy for the growth of their business (Rubtsova, Kapustkina, Karapetyan, Kovalev, and Rasskazov, 2015). According to the new strategy, they advertise the product and services in such a manner that it will help to decrease the communication barrier between the consumer and the organization. For this reason they appointed a right member of the home country who can understand both the company motives as well as the customer needs and with the help of this person the company will be able to decrease the communication gap, as well as they, make the decision of launching the right type of product and fulfill the needs of the customer (Young, and Hinesly, 2014). Also, they make a different marketing strategy by advertising product according to the customer behavior that attracts the consumer and they can aware of the product and their hesitation of purchasing such product also decreases. From the theory I have gathered an idea about how to interact a person within a business and by this theory I will improve my knowledge on communication behavior and it helps me to reduces my issue of talking to other people.

The theory from the literature helps me to gain knowledge about how to convince the audience and how to behave with them so that they get more interest while talking and this is one of the factors that reduce the communication barrier (Mazzei, and Ravazzani, 2015). For applying this theory I have to learn more deeply about the process and that helps me to improve my communication skill on a greater level. I have seen that the managers of the company hire technical experts in that particular area which have high convincing power over the customer (Aguado, and del Pilar Fernández-Viader, 2017). For this task, they mainly choose the person from the local area who have the power to understand the needs of the customer as well as he can convince them fully for purchasing their product. The introducing of this new marketing strategies help the business growth in the market as well as the company also get profited from using this strategy. Another communication issue that occurs in the business is lack of proper knowledge and due to this, it creates a huge problem for the company (Pearson, 2017). The main aim of a company is to understand the needs of the customer but due to the communication gap, they are unable to satisfy all the needs of the customer. Hence it sometimes causes diminishing of the business from the market and the brand can also decrease its position in the market.


About all these issues I have found that lack of proper communication in the organization can cause a huge problem for establishing their position in the market (Ortiz, Region-Sebest, and MacDermott, 2016). Moreover, I will suggest that in the world of digital media if proper meetings will be arranged in between the employee and the manager once in a month they the communication issues must decrease (Anthony, and Garner, 2016). Along with this if the manager maintained a friendly type relationship with their team members then the hesitation of talking will be reduced in between them and only then the company can stand at a leading position in the market internationally and locally. I have seen that the consumer is more attracted on the product only when they get a proper knowledge about the product and for grabbing the consumer attention the company makes a new strategy of properly communicating with them by arranging events or campaign and it is seen that after doing this the customer gets more interested to know about the product and hence it increases the organization progress also. For gaining the proper attraction of the consumer it is very useful to make a proper conversation with them and if the organization failed to understand them about the product then the business may also ruin as well the market share also decreases (Mikkelson, York, and Arritola, 2015). Apart from this with the help of digital technology by using the social platform the communication barrier between the consumer and the organization should be reduced. Actually, the assessment helped to get a proper idea about the communication skill and after learning all the process I will be able to improve myself in the future and also it helps me to overcome my hesitation problem (Christensen, 2014).
