## Question:

Describing socioeconomic characteristics of respondents.Use frequency tables, graphs and summary statistics to describe distributions of the following
variables:
1. state (residence of state)
2. age10 (age group)
3. M3 (years of education)

Requirements
Run frequency table for each variable where appropriate.
Choose an appropriate type of graph for each variable and briefly explain why you choose it.
Briefly summarise what the graph and the frequency table are showing.
For each variable, briefly explain what the appropriate measures of central tendency and variation can tell us.
Copy the SPSS outputs to a WORD file and edit tables and graphs properly.

Requirements
Before producing the crosstabulations you should recode the variables into fewer categories where appropriate and describe how you have done any recoding. In this assignment, the rule is as follows: exclude the categories such as ‘can’t choose’, ‘unknown’, and ‘missing’ in your recoding and add a footnote to the table when necessary.

As revealed by the data, are there any gendered patterns in respondents’ socioeconomic status (e.g., income, education, work and employment), division of household labour, and social class identification What is your main argument based on them
Could you specify what variables are most relevant to address your research question and support your argument Then, conduct appropriate data analysis on these variables.
Obtain the relevant results (e.g., tables and graphs) and organise the findings in your report.
What is your explanation of the results Are the results useful for examining the issue of gender inequality in Australia

The main purpose of writing this report is to show the extent to which you are able to apply various quantitative methods to address a social issue.
