## Questions:

1. Using the sketch provided and the spreadsheet template calculate the Center of Gravity of the composite cross-section. How did it compare to your results from HW #14?

2. Determine the dx and dy values for each cross-section. These are the differences between the combined center of gravity reference and the component center of gravity for each x and y direction. The y direction should be easy since there is a vertical line of symmetry. Enter those in the spreadsheet to determine the calculations for Ix and Iy.

3. Why do you suppose that the channel has been set up to use the Ix in place of the Iy and vice versa in this table for calculating the composite properties? Hint: Look at the normal strong axis of the channel and how it is oriented relative to the normal strong axis of the beam.
