The companies in the hospitality sector that will be appropriate for me and as per the objectives, which have been developed according to career plan are as follows:
Delta Hotels (Hotel Receptionist) - It provides opportunities in the career as it is a four star brand hotel. With the basic knowledge about consumer relation and employees in hospitality industry the following designation can be suited for me:
In the case of some hotels, the job of the concierge is an entry-level position in a job. However, most of the luxury hotels are in need of concierges who tend to have years of experience in the hospitality sector. The most suitable job for me will be Hotel Receptionist. The job of the Hotel Receptionist is to interact directly with customers along with provision of various services to the customers (Ahmadi, Ahmadi & Abbaspalangi, 2012). The role of the concierge involves acting as liaisons, thereby attending the guests by providing certain services which they ask for or it is the job of the concierge to anticipate beforehand what the customers might need.
Dave's BBQ Restaurants (Front Desk Supervisor)- This is a big chain of restaurants of America serving barbeque foods. In the catering sector it is one of the famous names thereby providing care opportunities to the employees.
The services offered by them could vary from providing a babysitter to the customers or to getting tickets to a show or recommending a restaurant for them. My role as a concierge requires being a problem solver along with customer-service skills extensively, who has the capacity to handle difficult patrons and is unflappable. Global Hyatt (Event Planner)- It is an American multinational hospitality company managing and franchising luxury hotels along with resorts as well as properties for vacation. This is one of the prominent hospitality brands that provide huge career development opportunities to its employees.
Most of the hotels nowadays have a conference room or spaces spared for event which they tend to rent out for organization of several diverse events which ranges from official meetings to weddings. This event planning ensures the event runs smoothly and perfectly (Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017).
As per the planned objective the most suited job for me would be the Event Planner. Being an event planner my role would be works with the company, or it might be an individual, is to arrange the event in a particular manner.
Delaware North (Special Events Manager) - This company is a prominent organisation in the hospitality sector as is a global food service and hospitality company. It is involved in various fields other than foods, like lodging, airport, sporting, gaming and entertainment industries. The company provides employment to over 55,000 people globally, having almost $3.2 billion in annual revenues (Rothwell et al., 2015).
Most of the hotels need event spaces and management talent, which they can use for organization of various events, which ranges from meetings to weddings. Managing the event planning ensures the employees and work process run smoothly and perfectly.
As per the planned objective the most suited job in this company for me would be the Special Events Manager.
Landry's, Inc. (Events Manager)- Landry's, Inc., is an American, privately owned, multi-brand dining, hospitality, entertainment and gaming corporation. They are required to develop the managerial skills to efficiently manage the entire hospitality facilities along with getting involved in entertainment process They tend to handle the clients who wants leisure, entertainment and top quality service .
As per the planned objective the most suited job in this company for me would be the Events Manager. Being an Event Manager my role would be to work with the company and to arrange the management for the events in a particular manner.
Fuller's (Sales and Marketing Manager)- This company owns pubs, breweries and hotels which are quite famous hence provides exposure to its employees. The role in the Sales and Marketing Department is to ensure that a hotel or an inn or any another venue is functioning without any obstacle.
As per the planned objective the most suited job in this company for me would be the Sales and Marketing Manager. The job role of Sales and Marketing Manager involves interaction with the guests and the managing staff in addition to handling the finances of the property, and many other tasks.
Aramark (Director of Marketing and Sales)- this company is involved in providing food services to the various hospitals, universities along with several schools, stadiums and other sectors. This company will help to improve the career progression by involving in the hospitality sector especially in the catering services. The company will provide lot of exposure as it is involved in providing services to big events like the Olympic Games. It has big investors with outstanding shares of the Aramark Corporation, making the company a big shot for an employee.
As per the planned objective the most suited job in this company for me would be the Director of Marketing and Sales. The job role of Director of Marketing and Sales involves interaction with managers, directing the sales and management department.
Howard Johnson's (Restaurant Managers)- This has been one of the most famous chain of restaurants for over 90 years, therefore providing huge career opportunities to the employees.
It is seen that some Restaurant Managers possess a certificate or degree acquired in Food management, while other might have only diploma in high school along with some years of experience while working in restaurants (Zimmerman, 2013). As per the planned objective the most suited job in this company for me would be the Restaurant Managers. Being a Restaurant Manager my job would be to have significant well-built business skills along with efficient management skills and effective interpersonal skills.
Beefeater Grill (Food and Beverage Manager)- This company has a chain of about 140 pub restaurants in the United Kingdom, which is owned by Whitbread. This company provides great opportunities in career as it has partnership with the Gourmet society.
As per the planned objective, the most suited job in this company for me would be the Food and Beverage Manager. The job role of a Food and Beverage Manager is basically a managerial role involving a huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes in the hospitality sector. It is the duty of Food and Beverage Manager to manage the operations of food in restaurants.
