Strengths against the marking criteria This is a piece of work that resembles a distinction at pre-degree level. Concise introduction and a conclusion that shows a strong understanding of what PDP is as a subject and how it helps students to develop. Very high standard of explaining which three specialist areas have been chosen and how they have been developed. There is a high level of research apparent through use of a range of appropriate and relevant sources. Formal use of language presented in an academic style and there is no use of personal pronouns throughout the report. There is also a high grasp of language, and grammar use. Finally there is a good level of referencing and bibliography provided.
Areas for improvement: The piece needed to gear closer to the student and PDP overall.
