Assessment 5: The Project Report Your report will reflect the research process and methodological approach you have undertaken. Your report format should therefore follow the principles of a basic research report format as set out in Chapter 8 of your text Assignment and Thesis Writing (Anderson & Poole, 1998). This format is a guide only and can and should be adjusted to reflect your process. Your report must contain a brief abstract or Executive Summary (approximately one page), which provides a summary of what was done, what was found and any recommendations arising from your research. It is usually a good idea to write this last. You will need to read and review journal articles and reports to explore the format, process and content of reports and research writing. There is no single way a report can be presented; there are a variety of approaches to professional report writing. For one approach to a specific editing format, please see the APA guidelines in the html below. https://www.scribbr.com/apa-style/format/ For this project, write in the 3rd person unless you have discussed with your Instructor. The final length of your report is 4,000 words. However, this total will include your previously submitted Literature Review (1,000 words). The Literature Review will not be remarked as a stand-alone section, but should be re-worked according to feedback received and form an appropriate platform from which the rest of your report will follow. Your report should include: Cover page Abstract or Executive Summay Acknowledgements Table of Contents Various report sections, including 1. Introduction 2. Literature Review 3. Method 4. Results 5. Discussion 6. Conclusion/Recommendations 7. Reference List (APA style) (Not included in word length) 8. Appendices (Not included in word length) A Project Feedback Sheet is available via LMS – Unit Resources to give you some idea of the criteria upon which this assignment will be graded. Read it carefully and thoughtfully. Use it to guide your work.
