There are a lot of quantities that are included with the objects that are in motion. Displacement and distance, time and acceleration, velocity and speed. The idea about these quantities give information of the quantity for descriptive knowledge of an object in motion. For example, if a bus is moving at a constant velocity of 21.0 m/s, moving north for 12 seconds with a northward displacement of 263 meters, then the object under consideration, the motion of that object is described completely. Again, if another bus is having an accelerated movement from an initial rest position with an acceleration towards east of 2.0 m/s2  for a time period of 7.0 seconds with a final velocity of 23 m/s, west with a westward displacement of 87 meters, then the car which is in motion is completely described.

The kinematic equations constitute a set of four equations which are used to predict information’s that are unknown. The use of these equations can be done for any motion  with description of constant velocity motion.

The kinematic equations are:
d = vi*t + ½* a*t2
vf2 = vi2 + 2*a*d
vf = vi + a*t
d = (vi + vf)/2 *t

There are lot of symbols which are used in the above equation, where d stands for displacement, t for time, a for acceleration and v is for the velocity of the object.
The kinematic equations are easily solvable in a fast pace if the values are known of the initial and final velocity and constraints provided to solve the equation.
