C: Assessment Task
This assessment will consist of a written report with an overall word equivalency. The mark for the assessment will be worth 50% of the overall module grade.
The Assessment Task
You are to prepare a report on the past performance of LGM Ltd. You will use the financial ratios set out below. These are based on the statement of profit or loss and the statement of financial position for LGM Ltd and show the performance of LGM Ltd over the last three years of trading.
You will prepare a report of approximately 1,500 words +10% which will include the following information.
·A detailed analysis of the past performance of LGM Ltd using ratios, identifying areas of strength and weakness. Also explain the possible causes of changes in these ratios between the years given.
·The limitations of ratios in appraising business performance and a discussion of other information which can be used to give a better picture of company performance. You should include academic references where appropriate (40 marks).
·Presentation: use of references, sentence construction, grammar. (10 marks)
Your report should include a reference list which conforms to University requirements.

·Report format required.
·Include a title page with your assessment number, title of your work, word count, module title & code, name of module tutor (and seminar tutor if relevant).
·Include a footer or header with student assessment number, module title & code.
·Word-processed work using MINIMUM 1.5-line spacing and Font size 12.
·All references should be constructed using the APA
·Standard English - It is expected that your writing will conform to Standard English in terms of spelling, syntax and grammar

F: Submission Guidance
·Students should submit work before 12 noon on the deadline date via the appropriate ‘Turnitin submission’ link on the Moodle module page. Please check your email confirmation to ensure you have submitted to the correct place.
·Assessments should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx. .pps and .ppsx), Excel (.xls and .xlsx) or PDF format (generated from the word-processing or presentation software you are using, not a scanned document. Do not upload Open Office documents (.odt, .odp).
·Do not upload documents directly from Google Drive and One Drive.
·The file must be no larger than 40MB.
