Needs for a group of clients within a population with a shared long term condition - physical, behavioural or mental health problem - affecting those within your field of practice.
Assignment Guidelines:
The assignment of 3000 words (+300) words should be written using report style, and will need to consider the following points:
·Confidentiality must be maintained throughout
·Relevant epidemiological and demographic factors should be analysed
·Use a theory of needs to structure the analysis of the health needs arising from the problems identified from the assessment.
·Critical analysis should be underpinned by evidence-based nursing interventions and management.
·Factors from a physical, social, psychological, cultural, environmental and socioeconomic perspective should be considered, and how they impact on the needs should be explored.
·The role of the nurse and other service providers in relation to empowering the client group must be identified.
·The impact of current legislation and partnership working on the overall care provided should be considered
Please see further comprehensive information on the module shell regarding the report in the ‘assessments’ tab.
All work is to be word processed. The font size used must be either Ariel, Times New Roman size 12. An A4 size of paper can fit approx. 580 words using an Ariel default setting.

-Top margin- 2.54 cm
-Bottom margin- 2.54 cm s
-Left margin- 3.17 cm
-Right margin- 3.17 cm

Report Word limit: The word limit WILL include the introduction, main body, conclusion and references within the assignment, but WILL NOT apply to the abstract, appropriate text in tables, the reference list, bibliography or appendices. Students must clearly state the number of words in their essay on the front of the work. Any words beyond the FINAL word count + 10% WILL NOT BE MARKED. For example for a 3000 word assignment the maximum word count is 3300. If there are more words beyond this point including for example the conclusion this be not be taken into consideration within the FINAL MARK/GRADE awarded. All work that is subject to breeches in the word limit will be moderated and consequently approved by the external examiner. Feedback will clearly explain the point at which the maximum word limit has been reached and will inform the student that any work following this point will not be in the allocation of the FINAL mark/grade awarded.
If a student does not use the available words then they are probably not explaining in sufficient detail to fully achieve the learning outcomes, and would therefore not achieve maximum marks.
