Section 1: Introduction

Introduce your assignment

Section 2: Communication skills

Identify the range of communication skills used in the scenario to facilitate the assessment or discharge process

This will include verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Provide a critical discussion and analysis of the skills used to facilitate communication

A detailed critical discussion of the type of questions used (open or closed questioning) is expected.

Provide a critical discussion of the barriers to communication depicted in your video

Your discussion should include factors such as the environment, patient symptoms, fear, anxiety, attitudes and beliefs of the patient and their relative.
