You have just been offered a placement in the International Office in a successful Business School in the UK. As part of your induction, your new manager explains that the Business School is considering establishing a âsatellite campusâ in another country. As part of your placement, she has asked you to examine one of the possible destinations and produce a report which evaluates that countryâs overall suitability and attractiveness (from the perspective of a UK Business School opening a satellite campus there). The International Office has no prior experience in this area; however, the university attracts many students from the following eight countries and you are required to select one of them as the focus of your report:
Â
â¢Â Australia
â¢Â Belgium
â¢Â Canada
â¢Â Czech Republic Â
â¢Â Egypt
â¢Â Peru
â¢Â Philippines
â¢Â South Africa
Â
Your report should identify and appraise the most relevant political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, ecological and legal factors in your chosen countryâs business environment (from the perspective of a UK Business School interested in the idea of establishing a satellite campus there). By synthesising and critically reflecting upon your evidence, you should also identify the most significant opportunities and threats facing your Business School if it decides to establish a satellite campus in that country.Â
