Your Coursework Task is to: Use a provided data set made up of responses to a survey to write a research paper that answers ONE OF THE following four research questions.
- Do teenagers prefer different software depending on whether they are male or female?
- Do teenagers prefer different hardware depending on whether they are male or female?
- How much time do teenagers spend using software – does this differ for at home and at school use?
- What do school pupils think about using ICT for learning – what do they imagine will change in the future?
To answer these questions, you will refer to data from a survey of High School pupils in the UK. This will be found on Blackboard If you answer question RQ1, you should refer to this paper (Ekaputra et al., 2013) and also ensure you refer to questions 3, 6 and 12 from the survey. NOTE – In choosing this Research Question you will be very unlikely to BE ABLE to get a grade beyond 60% as the data will not allow you to meet the higher outcomes.

You will need to specify clearly in the first sentence of your introduction which of the Research Questions you are answering. To do your research you should:
- Read around the topic chosen and collect up references
- Formulate one or more hypotheses that you will aim to answer with your research
- Collate the references you have found into a coherent literature review that takes the reader towards the main aims of your study
- Refer to the results from the survey that is available on Blackboard to decide which are relevant to your paper
- Organize the data into tables of results and charts that show your findings
- Apply statistical tests and report averages and so on as suits your data
- Draw some conclusions and compare your findings with similar or competing findings form the literature where appropriate
