The subjects of the MIS605 Systems Analysis and Design course educate the students about various activities, techniques, and methodologies a systems analyst uses to design information systems that, when built, enhance the organisation's ability to meet its business goals via available technology. These include defining requirements for the system, modelling high-level system behaviours, and drafting, i.e., planning and implementation, and are moved through object-oriented approaches to analysis and design and transforming user requirements into system design. User empathy is encouraged in this subject using the Unified Modelling Language (UML). Before enrolling their name in this course, students should be aware of the learning outcome. At the end of this course, management professionals will become an expert in traditional aspects of business alongside IT elements. By using their knowledge and skills, they will be able to use technology to solve problems and streamline systems. Students must know tools and techniques for analysing companies and their financial statements. This knowledge will be helpful for the students to assess economic alternatives. This course will educate the students about discounted cash flow, net present value and return on investment. A Master of Business Information Systems degree will educate the students to relate people, data and technology for the highest good of the business entity. This course will assist the students in adapting practical skills so that they can enter the business world as confident all-rounders who are well-prepared to be the effective link between the information technology specialists and the key decision-makers in any organisation. The MIS605 Systems Analysis and Design course provide an interdisciplinary approach so that students can improve their business acumen.
