Addressing spiritual care that is appropriate to a patient’s religious and cultural preferences is a key component for favorable outcomes. How do you handle that in your practice? Is that a routine part of your assessment and plan of care?

 

Write a concise review of a patient care scenario when a religion and culture were different from the patient’s. Describe a specific component that made the interaction difficult. The remaining page must critique the interaction based on the principles learned in your textbook readings. Use the science of good communication and the compassion displayed by Jesus to offer suggestions for improvement in future, similar circumstances. Use at least 1 Scripture reference to support biblical care.
