SOC 300 Classical Sociological Theories Final Presentation Guidelines Due to the compressed summer schedule, there are two chapters we have not had time to cover. For the final presentation, please pick one of these chapters and create a presentation that covers its major people, terms, concepts, and findings. Please choos e to cover either: Chapter 10: Feminist Theories or Chapter 12: Sociological Theories of Race and Racism You do not need to comprehensively cover every single thing in the chapter. Focus on the big picture and try not to get bogged down in all the sma ll details. There is no minimum or maximum, but you should cover all major points from the chapter. The presentation should be written primarily be in your own words, with selected quotes from the chapter included. During the presentation, be sure to provi de relevant real - world examples that illustrate the major points of the text. You will need to create the final presentation using Adobe Spark , which you can access here. https://spark.adobe.com/ Spark is a sup er cool way to create presentations – you’ve probably seen things created in it already. Spark is a little different from PowerPoint and Pretzi and other presentation services. You will need to spend some time getting familiar with the software. You shou ld be able to register for free with any number of accounts, including Google, Facebook, or even just an email address. You should not have to pay to use Spark , so please do not spend money on this service. Do not put too many words in any section. Each s ection should contain a single idea and consist of no more than four or five sentences. You will need to incorporate images and/or videos to augment your text. You can easily find images via Google and videos on YouTube. The final presentation is due June 25 by 11:59 p.m. It worth 150 points or 15 % of the total course grade.
