Introductory Sociology

The Haramaya University is a public university that is located in Hara\maya, Oromia, Ethiopia. The university is located 320 miles from the east of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The university offers a wide variety of courses and subjects. Among them the university provides the course of Accounting for Decision Making. Accounting for decision making can be considered as a means through which the business to remain on track regarding their operations. It is the means through which companies and organizations are able to keep track of their financial health. This is usually achieved through the provision of data information from a variety of statements which include balancing sheets, expenditure reports and income statements. It is the discipline in which the end-to-end process is analyzed to bring about improvement in the operations of the business or organization through the identifying the required amount of funds to carry out the operations successfully. The course will focus on the analysis of balance sheets and income statements for the development of the understanding on how individual transactions are able to collective make up such documents and statements. The course presents broad understanding of accounting and financial statements the students will develop a more nuanced understanding of the individual components of business like that of building inventory and making sale. Through the consideration of the common activities and actions of businesses, students will be able to gain a better understanding of the financial decision and overall financial statements and in turn use them as tool of information
