Every day millions of people in the world at large are being exposed or better still face cyber attacks by cyber criminals, which lead to lack of security and privacy to one's devices. Scammers or cyber criminals have greatly evolved at the same rate technology is evolving. They all have somehow found better and improved ways and techniques to carry out their misconduct on the internet and in many cases unidentified and unnoticed which is causing many major problems in society today as sensitive information is being stolen everyday. The technological advancements have done well to make our day to day lives easy as we are able to perform tasks we usually do in person online which is great. People have their banking information on several shopping sites where they buy things which sometimes is very risky because it gives room for scammers to get information and steal.

“Cybersecurity is the art of protecting networks, devices,and data from unauthorized access or criminal use and the practice of ensuring confidentiality,integrity, and availability of information” (CISA, 2009). But in our society there are rather fewer cyber defenders at the same rate at which cyber vulnerabilities are rising who can carry out cybersecurity duties and even some who are in the jobs are also causing more harm than good , because as humans we turn to make certain mistakes which are either accidental or at some point deliberate which will compromise the company they work for. Human factors have proven to be a major problem to many companies productivity, because companies need to first look at the inside weakness before outside ones so as to have what it takes to render good services to its customers and by doing so they need to redress several issues; They should carry out employee training frequently because the training will help reduce or limit errors, They should understand their employees fear appeals so as to know where and what to assign them, They should look and research on human errors so as to know the reason it is being done and also they need to enforce rules of “no cell phone” rules in the promises because knowing their fear appeals also acts like creating a relationship with the employee since as the employer gets on a personal level with the employee. This essay will look at the human factors of cybersecurity which cause havoc to businesses and companies as listed above.
Employee training should be enforced by businesses and companies because every human makes mistakes sometimes so in order to reduce the number of errors they should teach and train their employees. Every company or better still most companies should make it a routine to organise workshops for the sole purpose of training their workers on the new and improved technologies and principles which will help to improve their skills, they could employ or bring in persons with more knowledge on the field so they could learn a thing or two.
