Task
Goal Career Journals give you the opportunity to connect your thoughts and feelings. The process of journaling can help you identify – and process – your thoughts and ideas. Please answer the following questions:
1. On a scale from 1-10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, how confident do you feel about choosing a major and/or career? Why?
2. On a scale from 1-10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, how much support do you feel you have in choosing a major and/or career? Why?
3. What are/were your parents job titles? Did they ever talk about their work? If so, what did they talk about?
4. What messages have you received from your family, guardians, and community regarding your future career? How do they make you feel? Do you think these ideas are a good fit for you or not?
5. Which area(s) are you interested in learning more about for your major choice or career choice? Why are you interested in this area? (This question i'm still kinda undecided what major should i go for so you can right that in description).
6. Where do you think your values come from (e.g. culture, religion, academic experiences, friends, family, sexual orientation, society, etc.)?
7. How similar do you think your "Always Valued" Values are to your significant other or a person close to you? Is this surprising or expected? Why?
8. Write about one potential company that you can see yourself working at, based on their company values. Go to Google, type in a company along with the word "values." Include the company values page link, tell me about the company, and why you would want to potentially work there.
