ArchiCAD is considered as architectural BIM CAD software which is worked for the windows and developed by Hungarian company graphisoft preceptor was approximately developed in 1982 for Apple which is predecessor of the original Apple Macintosh. The program was initially launched in 1987 as a "Virtual Building" concept but later it is upgraded as suitable software that focused on 2D and 3D drafting, visualization and other building information modelling functions for architects, designers and planners (Onur and Nouban 2019). It is considered as the first commercial BIM product that can be used for personal computer. This is considered as the revolutionary for the ability to restore wide range of information in 3D model.
ArchiCAD usually enable the users to focus on various small objects because it allows the user to work with data-enhanced parametric objects called small objects. In this case, in order to import objects usually OBJ, FBX, Modo, Blender formats are used as they are only type of formats compatible to ARCHICAD-compatible files (Tubielewicz-Michalczuk 2019). Initially ModelPort is used for the translation into suitable format because ModelPort act on translating a number of file formats into the compatible format with specific editing features such as pen weight, colour , texture and others. After translation, the users must focus on ctrl+shift+O for opening special files and select OBJ format. After selecting OBJ format, object imported must be saved, and open it as Object from library in newer ArchiCAD. In order to import the objects ArchiCAD, one must follow the steps such as Go to File > Interoperability > Classifications and Properties > Import BIM Content. After appearing Merge BIM Data dialog, any ARCHICAD file such as PLN, PLA or TPL format can be searched or browsed that contain classification of files that can be used for mapping the definition one need to comply (Kamel and Memari 2019). Considering other files that can imported, ArchiCAD is one such unique software that supports IFC 2×3, the latest and most widely used IFC format. To import IFC format, one must enter File > Open command to open a . skp file which will directly import into ArchiCAD (Kamel and Memari 2019).
In architecture, the best tool to represent the building is a perspective section as this perspective section allow the architecture to focus on building new space. The perspective is usually used for 3D cut. In this case, in a 3d perspective in order to create the model, that we need two words a few ways. For example, 3D window is the source of 3D Document and hence, 3D cut view must be developed by either selecting elements with thick dashed line contour marquee on stories of the project or using set 3D cutting planes (Markiewicz-Zahorski 2019). For making perspectives based on second strategy, View > Elements in 3D View > 3D Cutting Planes is inserted in dialogue box. After drawing each line, any of the views which represents a cutting plane perpendicular will indicate orthogonal view. After 3D view, one can select "New 3D Document" from context menu. One can use the 3D documents own Model Display Settings, we can achieve a more representative look by turning the Shadows on. To enhance the perspective dimensioning tools can be used (Knoth et al. 2016).
ARCHICAD is one such software that enable the users to focus on either a 2D or 3D representation on the screen. Two-dimensional drawings can be exported at any time, even though the model in the program's database always stores data in three dimensions but for navigating these contents, user can sign click and keep the left mouse button pressed (Onur and Nouban 2019). After pressing the button, move the mouse around to view the building from all sides.
In order to draw in the software, one must click ctrl + t to make the object’s for making it a concrete block. The program also has various template such as 24 template dot tpl. For creating a new project based on the latest, one can choose any of these project template and add specifications as well as perspective (Abd ElWahab, Bakr and Raslan 2019)
The common features of archicad are Working with parametric objects, collaboration and remote access, APIs and scripting, data interchange and Languages and localizations (Onur and Nouban 2019).
Beams and Columns Tool: It is one such feature of the software that support designing of bare steel column elements and offers an optimisation of design in the tool. It is used for covering standard hot roll profile moment of inertia and dimensions.
Stair Tool: similar to the previous one, such feature of the software that used for designing building and documenting any typical or unique stair placed in the model building (Němec et al. 2019).
Railing Tool: Similar to stair tool, it is that used for designing building and documenting any typical or unique railing in the stairs placed in the model building ((Němec et al. 2019).
Pro Visualisation: It is one such tool that use artificial intelligence to structure whole building. For example, ArchiCAD’s professional architectural visualization tools translate your conceptual designs into compelling imagery of future buildings (Němec et al. 2019).
Element Classification is one of the fundamental features that ensure categorisation of the building as a part of the project. In ARCHICAD, one can use this feature for assigning one or more classifications to any project element (Abd ElWahab, Bakr and Raslan 2019). The benefit of such classification is that it makes parameters as well as functions available to other applications for organizing project data, locating locate elements, for listing purposes, to share exact data (Abd ElWahab, Bakr and Raslan 2019).
Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) are the open as well as neutral data format for openBIM which is used for importing in ArchiCAD (Noardo et al. 2019).
Collision Detection: Collision detection is considered as the computational problem of detecting the intersection of two or more objects (Abd ElWahab, Bakr and Raslan 2019).
