In the traditional direct sales model of business, the seller directly engages in the business process. On the contrary, the social media sales process, the sellers use the social media such as facebook to market the product of that particular company and the buyers can easily view the products in the social media platform. After visiting the product, on the social media platform, the buyers can buy the product through the online platform. Moreover, apart from this, in recent times along with the advancement of the technology, the buyers can make the payments of that particular product by using the online transaction mode as well. However, in case of direct sales, the buyers only can make payments for that particular product by using only the hand to hand cash and in this type, the buyers only can view the products in a physical model. Thereby, virtual storage of the product is not at all available in this type of business.
Generally, it is reported that the inside sales are remote sales and it is mainly considered as virtual sales. On the contrary, outside sales are the traditional sales which are done in a face to face sales.
Traditionally, inside sales only involved those made over the telephone — telesales. But thanks to the Internet, inside sales now encompass those made via Skype, email, or any other cyber-communication methodology – as long as the salesperson is working from behind a desk. On the contrary, outside sales are completely different from this type of sales process. The outside sales mainly include the presence of an outside salesperson and they mainly exert their function in the outside of an office area.
Inside sales reps often sell remotely, typically from an office. And outside sales reps travel, brokering face-to-face deals. While outside sales reps likely have an employer with physical office space, these salespeople are meeting with prospects at trade shows, conferences, or speaking at industry events and on the contrary, the outside sales are just opposite to the inside sales. In the outside sales process, it may possible that it may be affected by the changing condition of the weather, traffic condition, external environment as it is based on the outside of the office areas.
