Please also ensure that you review the rubric which is provided and write the essay accordingly.

Please make sure that you are choosing either topic 1 or Topic 2. Also, I would like to see the rough draft before experts finalize the essay. If there is any confusion then please reach out to me but don't assume things and jeopardize the quality of the essay.

Length: 1500-1800 words of body text (approximately 5 double-spaced pages).

The word count excludes your name, the assignment title, your Works Cited (or equivalent), and citations. The word count includes quotations.

There is a 5% penalty for not double-spacing the essay. There is a 3% penalty for every 50 words (or part thereof) the essay’s body text is over or under the specified word limit.

There is a 3% penalty for not entering the word count at the end of your essay but before the works cited page. Weight: The final essay is worth 35% of your final grade.

2). Ahead, on the tracks, there are five people tied up and unable to move. The trolley is headed straight for them. You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever.

If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. However, you notice that there is one person on the side track. You have two (and only two) options:

a. Do nothing, in which case the trolley will kill the five people on the main track.

b. Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill one person.

Which is the more ethical option? Or, more simply: What is the right thing to do?

c. Is it true that you have an immaterial mind and if it were true that you have an immaterial mind, would you have free will?

d. What would it take to say we know the right action in a particular situation? Is (non-survival) cannibalism always morally wrong?

e. Evaluate the morality of the U of L’s vaccine mandate.
