Acceptance of Canada's LGBT Community in Society

Challenges Faced by Canada's LGBT Community

The article highlights how the members of Canada's LGBT community have been received in society and the challenges they have faced (CBC, 2017). According to the author of the article, the LGBT community has been accepted in general but there is still a large portion of the bullies, and discrimination at some point in their life.   It can be found that almost 75% of the sexually-oriented groups have been exposed to some unhealthy treatment in society (CBC, 2017).  The aspect of the issues comes to a point in which there is a need for intervention from the associated organizations such as anti-bullying organizations, anti-discrimination groups, and the anti-violence group.  The facts on the ground suggest that society should accept that people cannot be the same. This brings the idea of giving the sexually-oriented groups their room to exercise their rights and freedom.  The people affected are the LGBT community and this is aligned to the people with bad and negative perspectives regarding their sexual orientation directions (CBC, 2017).

The solution presented in the article so the bullies and non-acceptance ideology of the LGBT community is that society should accept the fact that people cannot be all the same. People are driven by different perspectives and looks of things (CBC, 2017). The acceptance of the LGBT community should not be directed to the close relative, families, friends but also the whole society. The idea here is trying to accommodate each one within the society without dictating in how they will leave and exercise their needs and feelings.

Following the facts on record in the provided article, it seems the media is taking part in solving how society would need to accept the LGBT community. The president of the CROP Alain Giguere shares with the CBC news how important highlighting the difference can be of bigger value (CBC, 2017). He came with the basic part of the ideology that society needs to have a sense of diversity and accept the reality of each person.  The voice in the article is supporting the acceptance of the LGBT community in Canada.  The voice of protest is experienced from the article and this is attached to the support of the sexually oriented group on how to be valued and accepted within the society (CBC, 2017).  The pictures in the article are not contrary to the message as it demonstrates the advocating for the rights and voice of the LGBT community through peaceful demonstration.

Social service workers can be integrated through advocating for the LGBT community to be heard. They can become the agent of the change through advocating for the voiceless LGBT community to be heard their grievances priorities. SSW can come up with the toll that will push the bill of rights to accept the LGBT community ideology and how they will be accommodated in society. An Anti-oppression group can integrate with the social service worker to push for the rights of the LGBT community. It is all about making the Canadian society accept the group and accommodate them without ant discrimination.
