Engagement POST TO DISCUSSION BOARD: My Post-Factors that contribute to the efficacy at global level and sustainability of food interventions at the global level? It is seen that there are some factors that bring efficacy at global scale. The first factor that brings effectiveness at global scale is the increasing educational level. The first factor is therefore education brings some of the effectiveness at global level. Another factor is the increasing facilities of health care in order to bring awareness among the pregnant women regarding micronutrient malnutrition. In recent times, awareness is also one such factor that brings some effectiveness at the global level. In the 21st century, women also become aware of the things that will be helpful during their pregnancy. In this situation, they will be able to manage the things that will be helpful and beneficial to eat during their pregnancy. The proper awareness of the women to ensure proper and timely check up during such time also tends to increase efficiency at the global level (Dommisch, Kuzmanova, Jönsson, Grant & Chapple, 2018). Conclusion In the limelight of the above discussion, it can be concluded that micronutrient malnutrition in pregnant women is widespread across the countries. It is seen that several things are being used to improve the macronutrient deficiency. The situation could be improved through changing the food distribution in the family. There is also a need to communicate the information related to nutrients. Community participation as well as women involvement could also be done to build the support as well as ensure the achievement of nutritionally beneficial changes. In this way, Successful strategies from the different countries show the significance of carefully planned communication intervention.  Micronutrient deficiency conditions: global health issues. Public health reviews, 32(1), 243-255. . I really enjoyed reading about programs in place within the developed world that offers education regarding nutrition for pregnant women. The one thing I did struggle with was food security in developing countries and what measures are taken for the vulnerable population. One thing I didn’t take into account is that it goes beyond the facilities and infrastructure issue. When reading about issues in Kenya for pregnant women, one thing I didn’t realize was the food security issue is largely corrupt. So, offering education is great, but how could we as planet, find these women and get food to them to avoid transgenerational diseases. One paper that I read regarding corruption, which negatively impacts food security, touches on health care and education as a form of combating the problem; but it seems like a vicious circle, with no immediate intervention (Uchendu, 2015).We wondered about powders and additives that could be distributed to pregnant women within the developing world (NIH, n.d). The World Health Organization touched on these interventions but saw no impacts. However, this implementation was only for vitamin A, iron, iodine, and folate which are micronutrients (WHO, 2020). Do you think distributing a protein and amino acid supplement could help macronutrient deficiency in the developing world, or would they become a source of corruption as well? Do you think this could contribute to later-in-life diseases if food security is scarce after the baby is born?
