Cyber Terrorism and Borderless Internet

The computers in today’s world hold an integral position as far as our daily lives are concerned. As such, attacks on the computer system for both political as well as criminal purposes are rising regularly in all the states. There are various terrorist organizations that are relying on the information technology and advancing their goals in order to spread threat across the globe. Thus, to control the acts that are related to cyber terrorism, there are various intelligence agencies that are working. However, the major concern regarding all this is the borderless character of the internet that is unable to define how, where and why is a particular terrorist act being done. This dissertation would look intro furnishing a lexicon of the various cyber associated malicious activities that happen around the world and would thrive to give a proper definition of the terror over internet. Further, the recent attacks of 9/11 would also be taken into account and the increasingly complex structure of the same would be looked at.

The research questions are as follows:

• What is the current law on cyber terrorism?
• Whether the law id national in character or does it extends globally?
• What are the security threats to the world posed b y these incidents?
• How far has the complex structure become more complex with an increasing amount of globalization and digitalization?
