The Arabic name Holy Quran is: RECITATION
It is also spelled QURAN or KORAN in different regions.
According to traditional Islamic belief, Prophet Muhammad gained Islamic knowledge from Angel Gabriel, who revealed the Quran. It happened in Mecca and Madina, located in the West Arabian towns, beginning in 610 and ending with Muhammad's death in 632 CE.
The word "Qur'an," which appears in the Islamic scripture itself (e.g., 9:111 and 75:17–18), is derived from the verb "Qara'a," which means "to read" or "to recite." However, there is likely some connection to the Syrian word "Qeryana," which means "reading," and is used to recite scripture during church services.
The corpus of the holy Quran was composed in Classical Arabic, and it is typically regarded as a direct transcription of God's words.
The book holds the complete chapters on God's message that were conveyed to the prophets. These prophets are responsible for conveying the command of God and encouraging the community to follow the instructions.
The volumes God unveiled to each Prophet would be finished with the orders and directives He sent with that messenger.
According to the book, the Quran, the final Holy Scripture to be revealed to the last Prophet, serves as both a guide and a source of confirmation.
The Islamic community believes that, if God had not given people a book containing all his laws and instructions, humans won’t have enough guidance. Therefore, when a person embarks on the monotheistic route and seeks direction, they would require a reliable guidebook for reference.
Quran cites four holy books. It is done so that anyone who questions the divinity of the Quran can turn to earlier scriptures and find evidence of the Quran's legitimacy and dependability therein.
Four books of the Bible that have been cited in the Quran are:
The book's name is solely dedicated to the Prophet Ibrahim, but the reason remains unknown. However, a hadith that came from Prophet Muhammad described that Prophet Ibrahim was the one who received ten scrolls from God.
Even though it's unclear if any of these tablets exist, it is undeniable that the information revealed to Ibrahim, peace is upon him, was consistent with everything else in the Bible.
It is stated as a fact in both the passage of the Holy Quran and the narrations from the Messenger of God.
A book is dedicated to the Prophet Dawud comprised of various poems, supplications, and praises. Prophet Dawud was one of many prophets among the Children of Israel and the adherents of Nabi Musa's faith, which was Judaism.
In one of the books He has given to his messenger, God mentions in the Qur'an:
"We have indeed revealed to you as we revealed to Noah and the prophets after him, and (as) we revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, Jesus and Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon - and we gave David the Psalms."
The Psalms generally fall under the second category.
The Torah is generally known as the holy book of Prophet Musa. The Old Testament is another name for the book used by Christians.
Its particular reference is to the Pentateuch, a collection of five books that are often known by the names:
These books, along with the other 24 books, are known as Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and are the originally written Torah. These books are narrated in rabbinic writings.
The term' Oral Torah' is considered as Jewish Teachings.
The Torah is referred to by identity and other names 18 times in the Quran.
In chapter three of the Quran, God mentions Torah's significance and considers it a prime example of the Quran substitute.
The book Injil in the Holy Quran was believed to be revealed to Prophet Isa personally.
The Gospel, which Christians regard as their Holy Book, was written by four Disciples of Christ who lived centuries after what was the Prophet Isa had passed away.
The Bible is also a collection of holy Christian teachings and books, including the Torah, sometimes known as the Old Testament, and the New Testament, which Jewish followers of Prophet Isa put together.
