The Stages of Writing an Essay

1. Do research work:

Take help of books, journals and other academic resources, come up with short notes. Usage of effective sources and evidences helps in engaging your readers. Jot down everything you come across.

2. Make a plan:

Time management and planning the structure of your essay are two vitals segments of essay writing. You have a deadline to meet and so time should be managed wisely. Assign a certain amount of time during the day for research and the rest for writing. 3. Produce your first draft:

Once done with planning, you can now start writing your first draft. It is desirable to put your focus on the main body because it is considered as the heart of the. Keep in mind that your first draft has to undergo severe review session, so be mentally prepared for it.

4. Edit the copy after two-three days:

After penning down the first draft, take a break of two to three. This will help ease the tension of essay writing and facilitate accurate revision. There are a few factors that you need to keep in mind while revision.

i.Evaluate whether your answers have been properly presented in the context of the essay question.

ii.Examine whether your introduction and main body does not mismatch in terms of ideas.

iii.Read aloud to understand whether your arguments are fully supported by proper evidence.

iv.Review the writing style.

v.Your conclusion must answer the essay question accordingly.

5. Proofread your second draft:

Make sure that you follow the right presentation benchmarks which are given by your department or university. Referencing style should be maintained as per university criteria. Spelling and grammar mistake is not at all entertained in essay writing. So inspect carefully and alter your writing accordingly. Lastly, look for silly mistakes before handing over the assignment to your professors.
