Early research questions are those that drive your initial literature search when you may not know the target area very well. Alternatively, you may state a late research question which you would only formulate if you know the target area, its methodologies, and open problems well enough. Make sure to specify all the elements that need to be clarified when formulating research questions, namely: context, population, intervention (if applicable), comparison, and outcome. Make sure that your research question differs significantly from the research question that your group developed during the semester. We consider all those research questions that differ in at least 3 out of the 5 PICO elements as "significantly different". If less than 3 of your PICO elements differ from the research questions developed by your group during the semester, you will not get marks for the significantly similar or identical PICO elements. If you choose to state an early research question, you may not be able to specify all PICO elements due to a lack of knowledge of the target research area. In this case, you must engage in informed speculations about what each PICO element might be. Do suggest potential candidate entries for all PICO elements, or state something akin to "does probably not apply" if you think that the particular PICO element does not apply to the likely to-be-chosen research method. (This could be the case in simulation or modelling-type research methods in computer science, for example). If you choose to state a late research question, you should try very hard to specify all PICO elements unless you are absolutely convinced that they do not apply to your chosen research method (This could, for example, be the case for simulation or modelling type research methods). However, in this case, you must provide a strong argument why exactly you think that the respective PICO element does not apply. We expect at least one sentence per PICO element, but more than one sentence for the Context. Write your report either as a pure text file (*.txt) or as a markdown (*.md) file.
