In order to represent your respective countries, you’ll have to know something about them. Some of you will have been assigned well-known countries that you have a large amount of knowledge about. Others may even end up with a country that you’ve never even heard of.
While it is impossible to learn everything about a country in such a short paper, there are some specific areas that will certainly help.
Having a broader understanding of your respective country will aid you for Step 3, where you will outline your strategy for the mock debate. The understanding that you develop here will help you design your appropriate response to the Resolutions that we will debate.
What is your political system like? ( FRANCE )
1. Are you a democracy, dictatorship, monarchy, communist regime, etc?
2. Provide a brief description of how the political system works.
3. Is your population united, or do you have to deal with internal conflict?
4. Do you have a stable political system?
5. What are a couple/few of the big political issues in your country right now?
