Study Supervisor Analysis: Org. Description, Analysis & Recommendations
Answered

Part A - Org. Description

In Module 1, you were asked to identify a study supervisor to allow you to do real-life analysis of course content. Based on your work throughout the course, you should be able to do an assessment on your study supervisor (remember, you may be doing a self assessment). Your assignment consists of three parts: Part A – Org. Description (approx. 1-2 pages) Provide details on the supervisor's role and the department to set the stage for your analysis. Provide relevant details that will be helpful in understanding your analysis. Part B – Analysis (approx. 2- 4 pages) Consider the major topics in the course. Explain how at least three relate to your study supervisor. E.g. you may look at how your study supervisor handles appraisals, decision making and selection. Refer to the course material and try to assess why certain behaviours or conditions exist. Part C – Recommendations (approx. 2- 4 pages) If your analysis uncovers a problem, you should make some recommendation about future actions. If your project looks at successful interactions, you will need to consider why they have been successful, and how success can be maintained for the future. The format should be "business-like", that is I'd like you to make it more like something that might be produced in a business environment (i.e. not simply in essay format). To do this, consider the use of headings, tables and diagrams to help emphasize your points.Guide the reader through the sections of your document and try to emphasize the key points and ideas. Please contact your instructor if you have any questions.
