Instructions
1. Introduction to Social Interaction (10 points): Explanation/Definition of a social psychological problem/situation/interaction in the media/social media that you would like to explore: Briefly present and summarize this reported social interaction. You may use a short video (no longer than 1 minute). but you need to explain the potential psychological advantage of exploring this interaction.
 
2. Social Psychological Concepts (15 points): Identify and explain a principle, concept or theory from social psychology that could provide an explanation for the interaction. This must include the definition and relevance of the concept.
 
3. Main Body (25 points): The concept must be explained using a minimum of 2 primary academic articles, this includes support for the social psychological concept, and/or critiques of the concept. This section should also include an evaluation of this concept and why you believe this concept is or is not relevant to you personally, or socially (i.e. culturally and in "modern" times).
 
4. Proposal (25 points):This portion can be in list format. You will outline the design a Proposal For An Experiment that empirically tests your proposed explanation. Your experiment should aim to examine the identified principle (including the concept, how you would measure it. on whom, and why) in a context that is ecologically valid for the social situation (in other words, in a context that is not so controlled that it would not occur in real life). (You need to identify the variables. controls. and potentially 3-5 steps/procedures for how this study might look.
 
5. APA Citation and References (15 points). In APA formatting, including date that article was retrieved. Articles must be academic or research based (must have an abstract, introduction, methodology, Pndings, discussion, and conclusion sections and published in a recognized research journal). No literature reviews, texts, or articles in popular magazines.
