You will use the case study in Appendix A on pp. 400 - 410 of the textbook - the Coastal Crops Ltd. (CCL) Case. Ignore the instructions on the top of page 400 and the section entitled Negotiation Assignment on pp. 410 - 411 of the textbook. Your assignment is explained below.

Answer the following questions:

1. Marshall's Conditions - who has the balance of power in this round of negotiations? Explain why.

2. What will be your top three key bargaining priorities and proposals in rank order? Explain what they are and why you have given each that rank. One of your priorities must involve wages and/or benefits. Be sure to cost out your proposal involving wages and/or benefits.

3. What are the integrative bargaining issues? What are the distributive bargaining issues? What are the hybrid bargaining issues?

4. From your perspective, are any of these issues strike or lockout issues? Please explain.

5. What strategy would you use in the negotiations, and why? (i.e., what would you do, what would you not do, how would you conduct yourself, what tone would you take?)

6. Which issues would you want to discuss first? Which issues would you save for last?
