Your Task:
(1) Review module 3 and 4 to refresh your knowledge on conceptual frameworks, how to create them, and how to do research or find information.
(2) Complete the attached outline to help you organize your ideas (optional).
(3) Create your own conceptual framework for analyzing social movements or create a visual representation of an existing framework used to analyze social movements.
Note: If you choose to create a visual of a framework you’ve found through research instead of your own, make sure to provide a reference (see “Format” section, below for more information about referencing sources). Avoid using a visual framework that has been provided in class. However, you may choose to create a visual based on existing frameworks from class readings.
(4) Complete a report to hand in. Your assignment should include a graphic representation of the framework (a picture or visual) as outlined in step 3. It should also include short descriptions of the key words and central concepts that your framework will include, and a brief explanation of how the framework helps conceptualize cult activity.
Integrate at least one credible source that supports your framework. For example, if you are choosing an existing framework, include a source that describes it. If you are choosing to make your own framework, include a source that helped you to determine what key words would be helpful to include. You may choose to use the readings from class, or can use the different types of sources described in Module 4. You may also wish to check out https://wrldrels.org/ .
Length: Your report should be 1-2 pages, including graphic.
Format: Please use 12-point Arial font. Cite your sources using both an in-text citation and a reference page according to APA formatting. Reminders:
It is recommended you begin this assignment after you finish module 3. It is due at the end of week 7.
Review modules 3 and 4 for tips about researching and summarizing cult activity. The cult cases provided in each module are good examples of succinct cult summaries.

Outline
Introduction: statement that clearly introduces the framework. It should include the framework’s author, the date it was made, title, and main question, hypothesis or conclusion the framework is supposed to answer. (Remember, this question can be simple! Think about what you want to learn about cults. For example, our framework for cult themes in module 2 seeks to visualize which themes or focuses the cults we are studying have, and how many cults have multiple focuses).
Section 1: (Recommend using this section to provide a summary of key words and/ or central concepts you believe will be helpful within the framework)
Topic sentence that clearly indicates the point of this section.
List of key words and/or central concepts. Provide any supporting examples, facts, and/or expert opinions (optional)
